Brick Tracker turns seventeen browser tabs into one score. Every set we track gets a Stud Score, a 50-to-100 grade that answers the only question that actually matters: should I buy this set today, and can I make money on it?
Why This Exists
The LEGO investing tools were never bad. They were just scattered. BrickEconomy handled forecasts. Brickset had the deepest catalog and lifecycle data anywhere. BrickLink was the only real source of truth on minifig prices. Reddit had people who cared. Each one answered a different question well.
None of them answered ours. So we stopped opening tabs and started building a spreadsheet: retail price, secondary average, retirement date, minifig value sum, discount depth, theme sibling performance, and the Amazon-versus-secondary spread. Seven columns. Combined, they pointed at an answer. Apart, they were just data.

In development. An aggregator that surfaces the best listings across BrickLink and eBay in one place, scored and ranked, then sends you to the seller to transact. We don't compete with the marketplaces. We point at them.
Where The Data Comes From
Every number on this site traces back to a real source. We don't guess, and we don't publish projections dressed up as facts.
- Catalog, images, and piece counts — Rebrickable
- Secondary market and minifig values — BrickLink sold price guide, averaged against eBay sold listings
- Retail pricing and stock — public retailer data from Amazon, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and LEGO direct
- Retirement and lifecycle signals — set age on shelf measured against theme-average lifespan, not third-party guesses at a retirement date
Prices refresh on a schedule. Minifig values and resale averages resync weekly. If a number looks wrong to you, it might be, and we'd rather hear about it than not: tell us.
About The Stud Score
The Stud Score is a proprietary 50-to-100 grade that weights seven signals into a single output. The algorithm is proprietary. That's the part that took months to tune, and it's what separates this from a nicer spreadsheet.
The scores are public, and so are the signals behind them. Every set page lays out the reasoning in plain language so you can decide whether you agree with the grade. Think Wine Spectator, not a black box. The full methodology breakdown lives in The Stud Score, Explained.
Our Four Promises
The scores stay free. Not free-with-a-paywall-coming. Not free-if-you-give-us-your-friends'-emails. Free the way a stock ticker is free, because collectors deserve to see the market the way traders do.
No brand pays for a score. No retailer, seller, or manufacturer can buy a higher Stud Score, a Deal of the Day slot, or placement in an article. Ever. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
The cheapest price wins, even when we don't get paid. If the best deal is at a retailer we have no affiliate relationship with, we still send you there.
We don't sell your data. Your watchlist and collection are yours. Full detail in the privacy policy.
How We Make Money
Affiliate commissions. When you click through to a retailer from our site and buy something, the retailer pays us a small percentage. Your price is identical to going direct. No markup, no surcharge.
We're participants in the Amazon Associates program and in retailer programs through Impact and Rakuten Advertising. The complete list, and exactly how it does and doesn't affect what you see, is on our affiliate disclosure page.
Later, Premium Alerts will be a paid subscription. That's the push notification service, not the scores. The scores stay open either way.
Who's Behind It
Brick Tracker is an independent project, built and run by collectors who got tired of making six-figure hobby decisions on forum vibes. Rick is our editorial voice, the byline on Rick's Take and the face of our video work. Data-driven, occasionally blunt, and willing to call a bad deal junk.
We are not a media company with a content quota. Articles ship when we have something worth saying.
